President Droupadi Murmu announced gallantry and service awards for personnel of the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
The awards recognised bravery and distinguished service, particularly in operations against terrorism and insurgency.

National Sports Awards 2025
The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports announced the National Sports Awards 2025.
The Selection Committee was chaired by Justice (Retd.) Arun Kumar Mishra, former Supreme Court Judge.

- India's highest sporting honour
- No sportsperson was selected for the 2025 Khel Ratna.
- It was the first time since 2014 that the Khel Ratna was not awarded.

Indian Army Chief Conferred Honorary General Rank of Nepali Army
Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth received the Honorary Rank of General of the Nepali Army.
The honour was conferred by Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel.
The ceremony was held at Sheetal Niwas, Kathmandu, the official residence of the President of Nepal.

Parichha Weir Declared a World Heritage Irrigation Structure
The International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) recognised the 140-year-old Parichha Weir as a World Heritage Irrigation Structure (WHIS).
The Parichha Weir is located in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and was built across the Betwa River.
Construction of the dam began in 1881 and it became operational in 1886.
The recognition ceremony was held in Marseille, France.
