1. BrahMos Deal with Vietnam Signed

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said that the BrahMos missile deal with Vietnam has already been signed. A similar deal with Indonesia is in the final stage.

He made the statement during the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore.

The Philippines was the first foreign country to purchase the BrahMos missile system from India.

2. IAF’s “Gajraj” Aircraft Carries Buddha Relics to Mongolia

An Indian Air Force IL-76 strategic airlift aircraft “Gajraj” transported sacred relics from New Delhi to Mongolia on 30 May 2026.

The relics were of Arahant Sariputta and Arahant Mahamoggallana, the two chief disciples of Gautama Buddha.

3. Myanmar President Visit to India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing.

PM Modi stated that India was honoured that Myanmar’s President chose India as his first foreign visit after assuming office.

The President began his India visit from Bodh Gaya, seeking the blessings of Lord Buddha.

4. India and Australia Strengthen Defence and Maritime Cooperation

India and Australia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence and security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.

Discussions focused on maritime security, defence industry collaboration, interoperability, emerging technologies and underwater security.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles in New Delhi.

The meeting was held under the second India–Australia Defence Ministers’ Dialogue.

5. Malta’s Labour Party Wins

The ruling Labour Party of Malta won the parliamentary elections.

6. India Receives Fourth Squadron of S-400

India has received the fourth squadron of the S-400 air defence system from Russia.

The delivery is part of a $5.43 billion agreement signed in 2018 between India and Russia.

India is procuring five S-400 regimental systems under the agreement. Three squadrons had already been inducted, while the fourth has now arrived. The fifth squadron is expected in 2027.

The Telangana Government entered into a collaboration with South Africa.
